ROSS RYAN
Ross Ryan is one of Australia’s original and most celebrated singer-songwriters. His albums have won Record of the Year and Album of the Year awards and his songs have been recorded by performers as diverse as John Farnham and Slim Dusty.
2014 sees Ross celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of his triple gold 'My Name Means Horse" album - featuring his signature tune, 'I Am Pegasus' - still a favourite of Australian radio and named in 2003 by ABC TV's 'Love Is In The Air' as an Australian Anthem.
He’s toured with Roy Orbison, Carol King and Van Morrison; written for The Age and The Financial Review; worked as a writer and performer in comedy theatre and children's television; designs web sites; once had breakfast with Joni Mitchell; runs a recording studio; has a ‘King of Pop’ trophy - AND appeared twice on Mr Squiggle.
To mark the anniversary of 'My Name Means Horse', Ross - along with multi-instrumentalist Ken Stephenson and bassist Roy Zedras - will be playing a series of intimate wry autobiographical shows right across Australia.
